I'd really like to keep all my emails together here in TB instead of remembering to log into Roadrunners webmail acct. When I spoke with the Roadrunner representative-she said to check with mozilla-it should work. I double checked the Secure Authentication-I checked it off in Server Settings in the Account settings, but it says that it doesn't support secure authentication. I just logged into the webmail server on nycap and I can sign in fine.Ĭould it be that TB won't work with Roadrunner? You need to check the settings of the email client because these are the ones that may be configured in the wrong way.
Mail server .com responded invalid user name or password. If you configured your RR email using IMAP as well as POP settings, but then IMAP failed to work properly, then this problem is again linked to the database as RR email uses only IMAP settings.
I also verified the ports-110 for pop and 25 for the smtp from Roadrunnerīut when I try to load my emails through TB-it keeps asking me for my password. Timewarner Cable-specifically Nycap.rr.com So-I've been advised to use a less spam-like email and wanted to use the one through my provider.
I love using TB and have NO problem using all of my GMAIL accts thru Thunderbird, but I also need a more professional email for jobhunting-oh the joy of joys-unemployment!
